PGA Professionals Switch Clubs as Golf Season Gets Ready for Openings

TROY, April 4.....You'll need a scorecard to keep up with the changes in head pros and assistant pros in the Capital District this summer.
With most area clubs on the verge of opening, there are many switches.
Bob Meheran, one of the leading players in the Northeastern New York PGA, has moved from Berkshire Hills Golf Club to the head pro position at Cobleskill Golf & Country Club.
Josh Hillman, a much successful assistant pro, assumes the head pro job at Berkshire Hills.
Battenkill Golf Club in Greenwich has a new look with head pro Jay Potter departing for a position at Green Mansions Golf Course.
Former Mohawk Golf Club assistant pro Phil Kaminski has replaced Potter at Battenkill.
Sean Madden has moved up at Mohawk.
At Country Club of Troy in Brunswick, Matt Heighes has returned as an assistant pro after spending 2007 at Schuyler Meadows Club in Loudonville.
Robert Van Auken is now an assistant pro at Schuyler Meadows.
Brian Netti has left Albany Country Club as an asssistant pro.
The new head pro at Brookhaven Golf Club is Ben Andrews.
In another switch, Mark Lane has left Pine Brook Golf Club in Gloversville to become head pro at Mohawk Valley Country Club in Herkimer.
